Cravings & Addictions

Program

The Cravings & Addictions Program presented by A Cup of Tea is a very unique program that is conducted in the mountains near Asheville, North Carolina. Offering weekend or seven day retreats, a participant is provided the clear choice to eliminate substances, habits, or other dependencies that fill his/her cravings. Where participants are guided to a gentle awareness of how they lead their lives. In the process they "get it" and simply drop obsessive cravings and addictions.

It's that simple!

A Cup of Tea, supports a person's natural need to lead a rewarding and fulfilling life. We use a holistic and conscious, spiritual approach to the elimination of cravings, by showing the interrelated causes of one's behavior. However, what is offered is clearly not an AA or other 12 Step type approach.

We support a participant in finding the solution within, and do not create further dependencies..

Supportive counseling, meditation, breath work, exercise and dietary modification begins cleansing the body, mind and spirit, creating awareness and a positive outlook, and empowering a participant to take the necessary steps to cleaning up her/his life.

A Cup of Tea does not diagnose medical or psychological issues, nor do we treat or heal...we simply begin the awakening process. All participants receive a medical/psychological examination with an independent licensed physician.

We are not a medical or psychological facility, drug rehabilitation program, or detoxification center, nor is our program, with the exception of the medical exam, covered by any type of health insurance. We offer a sampling of techniques that encourage a person to take charge of his or her life. Until one is ready--really ready-any amount of rehabilitation stands little chance of success.

A Cup of Tea's Cravings & Addition Program is considered a primer, or basic training to rehabilitation. It is very possible that after the experience, "treatment" and "rehabilitation" as such may no longer be required. Should it be needed, we promote other longer term holistic healing methods, such as planned by the  Oasis Mountain Wellness Center, or those now offered at Desert Canyon Treatment Center in Sedona, Arizona. However, A Cup of Tea is not associated with these, or any other medical, psychological, religious or government managed organization, affiliate or facility.

Our Director, Virato, has had many years of experience, in this country, and in Europe. His personal knowledge and methods work!

The Program...

While a general outline is followed,
each event format is unique...tailored to the participants

Emotional Healing...
We use powerful, ageless natural methods that bring about dramatic and speedy transformation and emotional release. These methods include conscious counseling, unique breath techniques, movement, exercise, guided imagery, yoga and Zazen, behavioral modification, and both active and passive brain entrainment methods.
Health and Well-being...
The transformational process by bringing aware to guest's diet. Our wholesome, natural meals, and dietary supplements remove toxins, and energize the body. These vitalizing meals may also help decrease cravings. We then immerse them in processes embracing a transformation of body, mind and spirit.
New Vision...
Participants are shown how addictive behaviors control their lives, and how  to regain control.  They are challenged to overcome their addictive thought patterns and behaviors, and encouraged to make a deeper commitment to renewing their lives without the use of addictive substances or actions.
Follow-up...
We do not encourage dependence, such as 12 Step programs, but as far away as a phone or the Internet we offer a "shoulder to lean on" when things  seem to much to handle. Goal: transformation of  consciousness through the manifestation of self love and self sufficiency.

As needed, any professional associated with A Cup of Tea must complete an application and become Certified.
