The cetaceans (various species of whales and dolphins) are sending us messages. What are they, and are we receiving them? Some scientists say that they have been on the planet for some 20 million years! They have larger brains with more turns than humans. Some also say they are really extra-terrestrials, here to guide us in these endtimes..

who grew up
in Los
Angeles with
a house full
of animals
and family
roots in
entertainment.
Ever since
she was a
small child,
Shannon was
always
rescuing
injured and
homeless
animals and
nursing them
back to
health and
finding
loving homes
for them.
So, it came
as no
surprise
that Shannon
decided to
become an
animal
rights
lawyer.
Animals are
considered
property,
and Shannon
has been
striving to
change that
while
defending
animal
rights
activists in
the
courtroom,
saving dogs
being
prosecuted
in Los
Angeles by
getting them
off death
row, as well
as
prosecuting
those who
abuse
animals. In
2000,
Shannon
obtained the
largest
settlement
against the
City of Los
Angeles for
the beating
death of a
dog by a
city
employee.
Throughout
her years as
an animal
rights
attorney,
Shannon has
represented
several
controversial
activists,
bringing
justice to
those who
dare speak
and act up
for the
liberation
of animals
exploited.
Shannon has
represented
activists
such as
Kevin Jonas,
SHAC, Sea
Shepherd
Conservation
Society,
and many
more.
She has just
completed
her first
documentary
film on the
Animal
Liberation
Movement
entitled
Behind the
Mask,
the subject

During a
childhood
fatefully
balanced
between
normal
American
boyhood and
occasions in
orphanage
and reform
school,
Virato's
guest today,
Lew Paz,
became
uniquely
attentive to
the quality
of his
experiences.
At seventeen
he joined
the Air
Force, again
always
balancing
pursuit of
knowledge
with worldly
experience.
At the age
of 20 he
hitchhiked
about the
country for
a year or
so, and then
re-enlisted
in the
military.
After two
years as an
infantry
paratrooper,
Paz became
one of the
first
anti-war
protesters
during the
build up of
the Vietnam
War.
He spent a
year in
military
prison,
which he and
a select
group of
other
inmates used
as a kind of
monastery
for the
pursuit of
significant
knowledge.
From there,
after
establishing
a career, at
the age of
29, he
walked away
from a life
of lucrative
success in
the physical
world, to
once again
seek an
existence on
the edge,
blending
Zorba the
Greek
adventure
with
Socratic
questioning
of all
things. His
journey
entailed
years of
hard road
travel,
working at
every kind
of labor, a
year here, a
semester
there at
varied
colleges and
universities,
shamanistic
explorations
with drugs,
plants and
fungi, and
countless
sunup to
sunset days
in libraries
great and
small over
half the
earth,
deeply
delving into
the quest
for truth
and wisdom.
Paz first
learned
meditation
from the
direct
tutelage of
Zen Master
Shunryo
Suzuki, and
over the
past thirty
years merged
Zen
teachings
with Hatha
and Jana
Yoga, the
psychological
insights of
Carl Jung,
and the
mental and
spiritual
disciplines
of Aurobindo
and
Gurdjieff.
This rich
background
has given
him the
ability to
transfer
scholarly
and esoteric
spiritual
text into
comprehensible
terms for
the layman. |

Virato chats with Gangaji, a popular American spiritual teacher, or guru, who gives satsangs around the globe. She is said to have attained self-realization in 1990 after an encounter with Poonjaji (also known as Papaji), a disciple of Ramana Maharshi, who sent her back to the West to teach.
It all began in 1972, when she moved to San Francisco with the intention of exploring deeper levels of her being. In her quest for truth, she took the vows of a Bodhisattva, practiced Zen and Vipassana meditation, and helped facilitate a Tibetan Buddhist meditation center. During this period she also was exposed to the processing of Werner Erhardt and his EST training and also was involved in ARICA, among other psycho-spiritual and healing programs. Between 1981 and 1987, she was a practicing acupuncturist in a clinic in San Francisco.
Despite her success, she still had a deep longing for fulfillment, and she prayed for a teacher. In 1990 she met with Papaji through a former student his, Andrew Cohen. In this encounter, she says, the fulfillment she had sought was revealed to her. Gangaji has described contracting an illness and high fever while in India, which preceded her experience of realization. Papaji gave her the name "Gangaji," after the river Ganga (Ganges), and sent her back to America to teach. |

 Today
Virato chats with Andrew Cohen who says that his life was changed by a spontaneous
experience of "cosmic consciousness" at age sixteen.
Haunted by
the memory of this event, Cohen abandoned his ambition to
become a jazz drummer and began a quest to recapture this
experience. Studying martial arts, then Kriya Yoga, then
Buddhism from ages 22 to 30, Cohen eventually met the Indian
mystic H. W. L. Poonja in 1986. After spending only two
weeks with Poonja, having what he claimed was a “deep
spiritual awakening,” Cohen, with the initial encouragement
of Poonja, began teaching, Later a personal disagreement
created a split between the two.
In 1988,
Cohen founded EnlightenNext, a nonprofit educational
and spiritual network committed to creating a new global
culture. In addition to small groups of students located in
various parts of the world, EnlightenNext has public
centers in New York, Boston, London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt,
Zurich, Paris, Copenhagen, Tel Aviv, and Rishikesh, India.
The main center for EnlightenNext is a 220-acre (890,000 m²)
retreat venue in Lenox, Massachusetts, where Cohen and his
largest body of students currently reside.
Shortly
after he began teaching, Cohen began to meet with other
spiritual teachers in order to share his experience and
engage in dialogue about the nature of spiritual
enlightenment. In 1991, he founded the magazine What Is
Enlightenment?, in order to share and further this
investigation. As editor in chief of WIE, he believes
that "it is on our shoulders to create the future," and sees
the magazine and its associated programs as popular forums
for dialogue and inquiry regarding the meaning of spiritual
life in contemporary society.
