A Toast to Love...

Let the planet be bathed in love

Love is not something you do,
it is something you receive,
like Divine grace

It is a state of consciousness
that can only be experienced.

Love cannot be defined, but only
hinted at by poet and artist.

You cannot love a person or an object.
An object or person may be a trigger for love,
be it your sweetheart or a beautiful sunset,
but love is the state of being you enter
requiring no object for its sustenance. ..

Attachment or addiction to love's trigger will
eventually take you from the state of love.

It is closely related to the energy of the heart
which is called the anahata Chakra.

While the mind may stimulate
entrance into a state of love,
the mind must ultimately be
let go for love to appear.
By mind I mean the chatter,
in the form of discrimination, judgment
and other mental programming.

When in a state of love, it is expressed
through joy, bliss and gentleness

While love is indeed an exalted state,
it is but a doorway to the
transformation of consciousness
...and enlightenment.
