Wake Up Now,
There's Nothing To Do!

Turn on Your Speakers, and Listen

Don't try to understand this. Simply relax,
...read my words...and experience.

During my discourses in America and Russia
I always tell listeners not to believe me.

Beliefs, including being an "enlightenment junky,"
will keep you from your destination,
be it Nirvana, Heaven, God,
or whatever you choose to call it.
Religions and spiritual paths do just this
by "dogmafying" the way.

During a Zazen sesshin in India,
I meditated eighteen hours a day for ten days.
I also attempted to get rid of several addictions,
trying all sorts of methods.
Yet this did not bring me freedom.

Nothing on the outside, in itself, sets you free,
no drug, no mama, no lover, no psychologist,
no government, no god, no eternal spirit,
no "Great White Father."

Nothing!

When you get this and the moment happens,
you realize the wisdom shared by
others who have achieved this magical state.

You come in touch with everything, including all the
apparent paradoxes, and you see what they have said
in a crisp, clear way, not with your mind, or some book
but from your own experience.

Yet, it is something that cannot be described directly.

Poets like Rumi and Hafiz have eluded to this state
through the artistic use of words.

Jesus and Mohammed spoke of it in parables,
and Krishna, and countless other mystics
who achieved this state, used myth.

In Zen it is said that often when you reach
this place you simply laugh,
because, at the moment it happens,
you realize you always knew it.

But you have been trying to
achieve this understanding
and knowledge with your mind
for many lifetimes.

It is not the way...

It is the "no-mind" space, where
in the soul, through the heart,
true understanding and enlightenment occurs.

It is also the state of unconditional love.

All your attempts to understand it are in vain.

Awakening is a pathless path, it is not about a way.

Most people, groups, and organizations
are in illusion...stuck in some belief.

Yet, anything that you believe will awaken you,
or set you free, cannot work.
It is beyond your mind...

As are even these words.

The longer you remain in an addictive illusion,
the more you shall see through a "dark glass lightly."

Enlightenment is not about thinking.
If you can think you know it, it is not that.

Yet, there is something.

You must first focus on the goal totally,
yet not be at all attached to it.

Think of the dew drop melting into the sea

It is nothing, and it is everything.
Accept the paradox.

It cannot be spoken.

It is a state of being, beyond description.

You have assigned it many names,
God, Allah, Divinity,
peace, godliness, harmony,
...the source.

It is here to be experienced--right now
-- when you give up understanding.

When you stop trying,
you discover it has
been here all the time.

When you disconnect from the mind
and allow, you are in this place.

So simple, yet so difficult for so many.

People who have attained the state say
there is nothing you can do to get there.

When asked,
"When and how did this state happen to you?"
it is claimed Buddha said that it happened suddenly,
while sitting under a Bodhi tree,
...after twelve years of totally trying.

When you truly give up the struggle,
you reach what might be called
universal consciousness.

You indeed disappear into the one.

However, the one is really nothing.

The mind cannot understand that.

When you disconnect from mind,
you will indeed get it

There is nothing you can do to attain this state,
because the state is here and right now,
and all you need allow is simply to see this

Anything you do gets in the way,
all trying takes you further
from where you really are.

It is here, right now,
and it can't be defined...
it can only be experienced.

Searching, thinking and trying takes you
away from the present moment.

To awaken is to experience
being totally open, released...

No matter what you do, how much you resist,
one day you are going to wake up.

My words are not new or original.

It is just a matter of how long
you want to wait.

Let go...right now!

I am always available to assist you....

Blessings & Love,
Swami Nostradamus Virato
